How can I create a electric vehicle on SUMO using TraCI4Matlab?

Hello,
I am trying to create a Electric Vehicle, but I don't know how I can do with TraCI4Matlab. I have tried to change class of a vehicle alredy created to "evehicle", but it does not work. I have used the next code:
traci.vehicle.setVehicleClass(VehicleID,'evehicle');
Has anyone tried before?
