How can I treat "Matrix is close to singular" when I use function "eigs" to solve eigenvalue problem

Dear all members, When I use function "eigs", a warning message is as below:
Warning: Matrix is close to singular or badly scaled. Results may be inaccurate. RCOND = 2.638109e-17. > In eigs>AminusSigmaBsolve at 1222 In eigs>@(v)AminusSigmaBsolve(Bmtimes(v)) at 150 In eigs at 265
