The important information might be hidden in the error message. What exactly is "some server"?

Thank you for the prompt reply. I don't know exactly but I think every time I run it, matale connects to a license server to check for my trial license. Today I worked with a proxy server to connect to internet. I only want to check whether is there any way to work without the requirement of internet because sometimes I have to work offline.

The proxy server might be forbidding access to the Mathworks servers.
(I do not know if it is possible to use a Trial without internet access; I would tend to think so, but I do not know.)

@widitha samarakoon: Could you post the complete error message? If you get the idea, that Matlab cannot connect a server, I assume you get a corresponding message.
I have used a trial version without an internet connection some years ago in a lab, which was not allowed to have external connections. I had to select the offline modus during the installation process.
