Android Matlab app connection with laptop

I want to connect my Matlab app (android) with Matlab running on my laptop while I am at university (Wi-Fi connection) but the app does not find my computer at the IP address specified, which is the only one I can find following the instructions of the guide. What could I try more? Thanks in advance.

I understand that you are having some issue while configuring MATLAB mobile to connect to your computer. To be specific the app is not able to find the computer at the IP address specified.

The documentation states that "For some systems, the connector returns incorrect address information" and provides commands to determine the correct IP address.
