why isn't the importfile function not working?

Why is not this code working in matlab? Any help would be highly appreciated [TIMESTEPS,XDATA] = importfile('90.xlsx','Sheet1',2,1601);

It shows "Undefined function or variable 'importfile'"

The error message seems to be clear: The function importfile has not been created before, or it was saved to a folder which is not included in Matlab's path.

Please explain if you have created this function using importdata before and if so, where have you saved it? This implies a solution also if you convert the questions to a statement.
