java.lang.​NullPointe​rException Sierra R2017a

I just installed my mathlab and I keep getting the java.lang.NullPointerException. I am using a Macbook Pro. I have the latest OS. And my Matlab is R2017a Please help. This is very annoying. I thought it might be a java issue but that is up to date as well.
