Can I use Current Measurement block to measure current from a Controlled Voltage source?

I'm doing a simulation of a battery and I represent the terminal voltage of the battery by using a Controlled voltage source. I also want to measure the output current. So, I connect the output of the Controlled voltage Source (CVS) to a Current measurement block but it doesn't seem to work. I don't want to replace the CVS by a Controlled Current Source cause it will change the dynamic responses. How do I solve my problem?
