How do imagine viewing an array with more than half a million elements will be useful?

Here is a good answer with examples on processing a sequence of files in a loop: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/57446-faq-how-can-i-process-a-sequence-of-files
The load function would be useful to work with .mat files.
The error 'Cannot display summaries of variables with more than 524288 elements." is expected behavior to limit the spike in memory usage of MATLAB.
