With Simulink Desktop Real Time, when running a model multi-rate and configured for multi-tasking does the model inherently benefit from more cores on my system?

Unfortunately, Simulink Desktop Real-Time is currently limited to a single CPU core, which means running a model configured for multi-tasking will not benefit from the multiple cores on your system.
If utilizing the multiple cores on your system is a necessary requirement, Simulink Real-Time does support concurrent execution using multi-core processing, however you will need to use an external hardware and the Simulink Real-Time target.
Please refer to the technical article below for an example of concurrent execution with Simulink Real-Time and multicore target hardware:
This article runs through an example describing the workflow for concurrent execution using Simulink-Real Time and a Speedgoat dual-core target computer.
