How to get orientation of the line and point in 3D

I have 3D points on a plane and one line that lies on this plane. I need to divide these points by the given line. The line is described by one point and vector (r = r0 + t*v). How can I (easily) decide which points are on which side of the plane (according to the line)? Thanks!
