Connection problems with cloud center to AWS p2.8 GPU
Mostrar comentarios más antiguos
Hello, I've been following the instructions here to setup cloud center to my AWS instance But I keep getting the error message: "Insufficient AWS Resources"
I have had my EC2 instance limit increased; however, that limit is for AWS Region: US East Ohio. I have terminated all my other instances so there is definitely enough resources, at least for EC2 instances.
What other resources is necessary here? I've noticed that for cluster setup in the cloud center, the only US East Region option is for "US East Virginia" so does the region I have my EC2 limits matter? It seems a little far-fetched for the region (in this case US state) to matter when the cloud center will be using remote AWS hardware regardless.
Any help is much appreciated, Nyalia

P2 is limited and under heavy use. You should try a range of different regions, see what's available. You could also try P3, G2 or G3 if those are suitable for your application.

I'm not quite the right person to comment on the presence of machine types in AWS, but in my experience, the available machine types in different regions in Cloud Center are just reflecting what Amazon make available - it's nothing to do with MathWorks it's just what's available in which regions. For instance, there are no P3 instances in the EU region.
You may be misunderstanding what the region selection means. That does not identify your region it identifies the location of the Amazon data center. Ideally this would be geographically close to you to reduce latency, but it doesn't have to be.
