MATLAB coder doesn't install on Matlab 2017b.

When I try to install MATLAB coder from the Add-Ons Get Add-Ons GUI, (after I click install) the system prompts me to safe my work as Matlab needs to shutdown before the installer will install MATLAB coder. However, when I say continue, Matlab is shut down but nothing happpens at all: the installer never pops up, nor is anything downloaded.
