I cannot understand a Edge detection assignment question. Please help

Hi i am having problem understanding the Part3:Edge detection question. so far i have completed the 1st and 2nd parts. There are simply a lot of matlab files. I am confused.

Hi Amit, It is about the Edge Detection, go through Gonzalez book Chapter 10 (Image Segmentation), if you have any specific question on a certain line or term, you can post here.

i tired it on some images. it gives better result than the edge function. I hope i can use it for assignment. i used Prewitt gradient operator which is a gradient based edge detector.

what do you think? would it be all right to use on the assignment?
