When students write solutions in MATLAB Grader they have access to all functionality typically available when writing a script or function in MATLAB.
When it comes to support for specific products and toolboxes, MATLAB Grader has many of the same limitations as MATLAB Online. You can refer to the following link for MATLAB Online limitations:
The automated assessment environment introduces some new functionality that may not yet be familiar to new users. To get started, use the example problems as templates of how to create and assess various types of problems.
