Hi,
does anyone know if it is possible to disable the "Did you mean" feature when a mistake is made in Matlab's command window?
I'm referring to when for example you type something with a typo and Matlab suggests the correct command.
The feature is actually quite cool, yet it takes ages (1-2s on my computer) to come out with the suggestion. Since I use the command window a lot and I write typos even more it can get quite frustrating. Usually I realize I did a mistake as soon as I press Enter and I start typing the new command again, messing up with the suggestion. This may lead to several trials and errors which dilates quite a lot my work.
Sorry if this question has been asked already or if there is an ovbious solution. I searched around and didn't found anything relevant.
Thanks

I have the same problem of typing my own correction too fast, usually in my case I know I've made the error so I hit the up arrow to correct it myself, which, as you say, messes up the suggestion. what would be good is if I could hit down arrow again on realising this and it would store the corrected suggestion as the last command to go back to, but it doesn't :(
