2D triangles coloured by function

Hello,

I'd like to make a 2D graph of triangles and colour their surface from the intensity of the value of a function which depends on x and y.

is it possible? I've tried tons of solution but none worked, some of them where just for rectangles and other just didn't fit my problem.
