How to Rearrange Matrix Blocks?

What is the best way to reorder blocks in a block-diagonal matrix? More specifically: I let MATLAB compute Jordan normal forms for given matrices. But since the order of the Jordan blocks is not the one I need, I would like to reorder the blocks via an algorithm that works in all cases (block sizes and eigenvalues obtained via „jordan“).
