Best Matlab file format for input into a RIP

I am creating an image in Matlab that I would like to print on a large-format printer that has a RIP (Raster image processor). The printer software that accesses the RIP says acceptable input file input formats are PS, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, BMP, PDF, all of which Matlab can create, though the software seems to assume users are coming from Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
Are any of the listed file formats better for working with a RIP, or any other head's up on going from Matlab to a RIP?

While a TIFF is fine for a raster image, EPS and PDF are fine for vector grafics. I have no idea what "better for working with a RIP" means. If the printer accepts an input, be happy and let it do its work.

RIPs are specific to commercial printing (like cereal box packaging etc.) and printing with them is different than an office printer so I want to make sure I am not missing something.

Then ask the manufacturer of your RIP, if a specific inputs format has advantages.

That is sensible advice.
