Hello, I'm working on the simulation of an elevating chair, in classe of terminal in France, so I speek french more than english... (Sorry a few things are in french in my simulation)
My problem is to mack my jack irreversible, to make the people stoped by the jack steel if there is no current in it. Actually the wheigt force is pushing the upper part of the chair throw the lower one...
One of my firt ideas was to add an orientation to the système, and add gravity... But I think is to copmplicated... And the wrong way to do, how to resolve this problem?
I'm working on the 1 month trial version from ~1 week, so please if somebody have an idea I really need a solution plz.

Hello Fantin,
I am guessing this answer is too late for you. I would model the system to prevent backwards motion however it is accomplished in the real system. If you can use electric 'braking' on the motors, I would add the circuitry to implement the 'brake'. If it is accomplished mechanically, then I would modify the model to add the mechanical model of however it is implemented. This may require modelling contact forces or hard stops.
Regards,
Joel
