To align a dicom volume based on reference volume

Hi
I have one Reference Dicom Volume(Ref)(512x512x1303) and dicom volume(V) with defects(512x512x1303). How should I align V wrt to Ref

Image registration for such huge sizes are very computationally intensive, but if you search the documentation (or Google) for the keyword 'image registration' you should find useful code.
