How to amplify the signal?

I am so far using the wav files to filter the signal using Butterworth Filter so that I could remove the noise.
I want to amplify the sound so I could listen to the sound even strongly.
Is there any way that could be solved?

Multiply the vector or matrix by a constant greater than 1, and use the sound (not soundsc) function to listen to it.
