Hi everyone. I'm unwrapping the phase of a hemisphere image, using MATLAB unwrap function. the image contains vertical lines. the function 'unwrap' works well for a constant surface but it doesn't for the hemisphere. there are some jumps in the unwrapped image.
I use the function in the form of:
UnwrappedImage7=unwrap(unwrap(PHI,[],2),[],1);
Do you have any sugestions to eliminate the jumps?

Unwrap only operates on columns, so it ignores phase gradients across the rows. 2D phase unwrapping is not as straightforward as 1D, but there are several implementations of different algorithms on the File Exchange.
