Adding connectivity constraints for structured hierarchical agglomerative clustering

Using Matlab's linkage and cluster tools for hierarchical agglomerative clustering of fMRI data. In Python's scikit-learn there is an option for adding a connectivity constraint to impose structure in the clustering. Is there a similar option that I am not seeing in these Matlab tools?
