Plotting image superimposed with polarization ellipses using Jones vectors

I am trying to make a plot of an optical beam polarization, such as is shown below.

I have the Jones vector data that corresponds to the ellipses, I just want to know if there is a function to plot the ellipses like shown or if I need to go in and manually draw them in the proper location. I have tried quiver but that only draws arrows and I need to represent circular polarization.
