Error in saving .mlx file

Hello all,
I am facing the following issue while attempting to save the Matlab Live Script file.
"unable to save .mlx file. The file save operation is taking longer than expected. Try clearing some of the outputs from the file before saving."
I have tried clearing my workspace. Still face the issue.
Why am I facing this issue and how do I overcome this? Kindly Help.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
KS.

Ok.. The issue is sorted for now, care had to be take to open Matlab first and then the file. It would be great if someone could explain why this happens. I am mostly working with the fmincon function.

I'm unable to reproduce this behaviour on my end.Please provide reproduction steps.

Matlab and networked drives don't always mix very well, with all sorts of errors having been reported. I suggest you work on a local folder.

@Hari Krishna Ravuri
These are my observations. This issue started as soon as I accidently deleted a '.bak' file. and now it happens to any random file in the folder. The folder is connected to a git repository as well. The code mainly solves a nonlinear optimization problem. The issue occurs when the code runs an infinite loop, but this is not always the case. Even I am not able to reproduce it, but it occurs suddenly.
@Guillaume Yes, this could be a probable reason. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

To what location are you trying to save? How are you trying to save?

Its saved in a local folder in the server. I just do a simple CTRL+S.
I have also observed that this occurs when the number of outputs is very high and I try to do a CTRL+S within a few seconds of the completition of the computation. It eventually saves on subsequent attempts.
Yes, in other words, it looks like it is lagging.
I am not truly aware of the exact jargons, so I appologise if the description is too vague.

Which MATLAB version are you using?

@Hari Krishna Ravuri,
I don't know if it's something that mathworks is actively investigating. If it's not perhaps it should. It's not the first time that issues have been reported with accessing files on networked drives. See for example matlab file on disk might be empty.

I'm unable to reproduce this problem on my end and can easily save files on network drive.If the problem still persists, please provide the exact reproduction steps so that I can take the necessary actions.

I've never encountered the issue so can't offer a recipe I'm afraid. However, there's been enough questions about it on answer that it would appear that there is a problem specific to matlab with networked folders.

I recently started using matlab live script annd facing this issue annd different random occasions.
Sometimes it will not save the new file unless I force quite MATLAB.
