How to open a context menu from command window?

I would like to open a context menu on a folder/file via the command window. Is there a way to do this?

Example:

I am using git. On the current matlab path, I could make a rightclick on a folder and open the context menu "Source Control" -> "View and Commit Changes..."

Is there a way to open this "Gui" via the command window/ m-file ?
