Hello,
I am using LaunchXL-F28379D with Simulink to run an induction motor through a 3 leg inverter.
I am able to get the motor to run at a rated speed of 1400rpm and control the speed too.
Next I want to read the speed in order to implement a closed loop control.
I am unsing Autonics Rotary encoder with a resultion of 2500 pulses per revolution.
How do I configure the eQEP block to read the speed of my motor.
I have connected 5 pins of encode to 5 pins on eQEP_A.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Akarsh M

Hi,
Please look for examples that are based on DM550. These examples use the QEP block for speed calculations.
Here is the link to motor control examples:

I tried using the same logic as shown in DM550 examples. I am getting a number but it doesnt match with the actual speed my motor is running at.
Is it something to do with configuring the QEP block? Is there guide for the same?
Or should I change the way speed is calculated from the examples?
