Is it possible to disable previewing selected files (especially MAT files) in the Details view?

When selecting a MAT file in the Current Folder panel, MATLAB shows the MAT file's contents in the Details view. In case of large MAT files or ones containing a large number of variables, this causes that MATLAB is busy for a very long time. Therefore I would like to disable the preview of MAT files or completely hide the Details view from the Current Folder panel. Is this possible? If yes, how?

Hi,

To the best of my knowledge it is not possible to remove the Details view from the current folder pannel, but you can minimize/hide it by clicking the highlighted part.

By selecting you mean while loading? If it is while loading then you can use matfile which access and change variables in MAT-file without loading file into memory. If you just select the mat file. It generally doesnot make the MATLAB busy.
