How to pass values to another GUI without startup/renew 0

Hi all,
I have created two GUIs: GUI-main and GUI-part, using appdesigner. My plan is:
When open GUI-main, pass the values from GUI-main to GUI-part; When GUI-part is opened after GUI-main, some new parameters are generated and will be sent back to GUI-main.
From the methods I have seen so far, the GUI-main will be opened again when GUI-part is sending values back to GUI-main. However, I don't want this effect. I would like the GUI-main to be the original opened GUI-main, since it has some other values which I don't want to change back to default values.
Could you please tell me how can I solve this problem?
