How to save figure window as a series of images and construct a video and gif file?

Hello everyone! I have a dynamic plotting in my figure window. I want to save snapshots of this figure after a fixed time interval say after every 10 seconds and later on, use these images to create a video and GIF file. How can I accomplish this task?
