Embedded Coder: Generating XDAIS-compliant code for OMAP-L138 (C674x)

Hi all,
I'm starting development on an XDAIS compliant codec on a TI OMAP-L138. The algorithm will be running on the internal C74x (DSP BIOS). (A program running on the ARM will communicate with the DSP via TI's Codec Engine.)
Currently, we have the algorithm written in MATLAB, and we're wondering if Embedder Coder would help with a quick conversion to C code for th DSP.
However, I have a few concerns that I was hoping some experienced folks around here might be able to clear up, so that we can get a feel as to whether or not this product would be a good fit.
- We won't be accessing DSP peripherals -- just merely processing frames in a buffer, and returning encoded frames. Is there any reason the Embedded Coder output couldn't be dropped into the XDAIS-compliant codec implementation, without significant modifications? XDAIS Rules and Guidelines
- Can one generate implementations of specific routines, or only entire scripts/programs?
- Just to double check, the C674x is supported? (It's a superset of the C67x+ and C4x+ ISAs)
- Are there any Embedded Coder output samples available for the C674x? I checked the user guides, but was wondering if I missed any white papers or app notes.
Additional information:
We'll be using the components bundled with the OMAP-L138 DVSDK v04.03.00.06, and CCSv5 (Anyone see any incompatibilities?)
- BIOS 01.30.01
- BIOS Utils 01.02.02
- CGT6x 06.01.14
- DSPLIB C764x 03.01.00.00
- edma3lld 01.11.02.05
- xdais 06.26.01.33
- xdctools 03.16.03.36
If anyone's already been through this, I'd appreciate any experiences or "gotchas" you ran into.
Thanks, Jon
