Hello
I have a set of data that has 3 variables
The first variable is elevation in metres
The second variable is precipitation
The third viarable is location. There are 10 locations in total.
Here is what I want the graph to look like. A quick sketch.
My question is, how can I fix the x-axis in Matlab or Excel even, so it increases in regular intervals?
This will allow me to plot the 10 locations on the graph, draw line of best fit and find a reletionship
Thanks.

In your example sketch, which axis is x-axes?
What do you mean by "fix the x-axis in Matlab or Excel even, so it increases in regular intervals"?

Hello Suzie,
To echo with @Ameer's point, it's unclear what exactly you mean by "fix the X-Axis", however, I understand that you want to plot your data which depends on 3 variables. Consider using the functions scatter3 or scatterm. The use-cases of these functions might match yours.
Further, here's the link to a question on the MATLAB Answers forum that I felt is pretty similar to what you want to achieve.
Hope this helps!
