Appdesigner: Deleting an entire table

Appdesigner seems to have quite a few quirks and one that I am facing at the moment is that it won't consistently delete a table i.e. sometimes it will and sometimes it won't (within the same app and with no changes - purely when operating). The first time I run the app., all works well, but repeated use and it plays up.

I had a similar problem with deleting plots within Appdesigner. This turned-out to be my fault because I discovered that unless I used 'hold(app.XXX, 'off')', it maintained the object and refused to delete it.

I am hoping that my table issue could be a similar mistake on my part - that I have left something 'on' or 'open' and so Appdesigner is waiting for me to complete an action in some way, perhaps ?

Does anyone know what might prevent a table being deleted in Appdesigner, please ?

Is there a simple instruction I can add to my code, after I have finished populating a table, that will tell Appdesigner that it no longer needs to hang on to the table when I want to delete it ?
