How to plot polynomial function as well as points input on the same graph?

I need to plot a polynomial equation in the form y = A + Bx + Cx^2 + Dx^3 without getting the 'square matrix' error.

On the same graph, i need to plot another few lines by several input points (x,y) in order to compare the variation of the lines.

How may I do it?
