Can I access my Matlab license online without installing on my laptop?

Hi. My purchased license # is 4XXXXXXXXXX. Can I access it online without installing on my laptop? It is a work laptop with software restrictions.

I have seen a claim that MATLAB Online can be used for 20 hours per month even without a MATLAB license. I do not know if that is true, however. And it might potentially only be MATLAB, or MATLAB and Simulink perhaps, without any of the specialized toolboxes.

You can get your IT admin to install it for you.

However you can access MATLAB online, if you have an eligible license. https://www.mathworks.com/products/matlab-online.html#license-types

In particular, MATLAB Online is not available for Networked licenses. It is, however, potentially available to Standard Individual licenses, which are individual full-cost licenses.

If your license needs to contact a license manager, then it probably cannot use MATLAB Online.

If your license is local (would work even without Internet) and it is not a Designated Computer license, then it potentially can use MATLAB Online.
