Trying to access variables that aren't available in Workspace

I am attempting to use a relatively large model consisting of several "submodel" functions. There is one "interface" function that allows me to run the model and gives me a variety of output variables. However, some other variables from certain submodel functions don't appear in the workspace. I understand that every function is meant to have its own workspace in Matlab, but is there any way I can access these other workspaces to view the values of my other variables? Thank you!
