Hi,for an optimization analysis I need to run an analysis in the opensees program and use the results in the MATLAB program, but this program is very heavy and slow and takes a lot of time, I wanted to know if the opensee and MATLAB programs together can be run online by Useing online matlab in this site and speed up the analysis

Hi Rouhollah,
The general way to access opensees is by writing the required commands to a file, and then using system() to run theopenseesexecutable redirecting input from the file you just created to the “opensees” executable. Here’s a code snippet to illustrate this process:
file = 'YourOpenSeesScript.tcl';
% Run the file from MATLAB
cmd = sprintf ('OpenSees.exe < "%s"', file);
system(file);
After your “opensees” program has been run, you can load the results back into MATLAB.
