Dear all,
I am trying to register two gray-scale images using the new function imregister. However, I should determine the number of Maximum Iterations, 'MaximumIterations'.
Some users use 100 and some use 1000. Is there someway to know the best Maximum Iterations? or to stop automatically when registration reaches to best level?
Thank you very much.

Read this for some general tips/advice about using imregister.
There's no straight answer to your question. You'll have to try a certain number of iterations with a test image from your dataset, increase it, see if it gets better, increase again and check the results and so on. So, "guided trial and error" is the best way to go. Also, don't just focus on number of iterations, look at the other parameters as well.
