Use of Port Area input in Constant Volume Chamber : Moist Air

I'm making a model using the constant Volume chamber for Moist Air. There is an option to specify the area of the port. I'm trying to find out what is the use of the area.

Hello,

The Constant Volume Gas Chamber allows the exchange of mass and energy through it. Although it works for the contant volume if gas. The area of the port helps in flow related computations. You can take a look at the source code of the gas chamber by double clicking on the block and navigating to source code.
