Problem with Simscape Onramp task 9
Mostrar comentarios más antiguos
Hello, I can´t answer the last task, task 9, of the section 8.1 of the simscape onramp course, I do exactly what I´m requested to do but I always get it wrong, I´ve been for several hours trying it but I simply don´t understand what I´m getting wrong. I´ve looked for the answer on Youtube but literally nobady has upload it, at least I haven´t found anybody, does anybody knows how to obtain the answer or can anybody tell me where can I find the way to solve it?, thank you!

Hello Juan,
can you provide insight into what is says is going wrong? There are 2 validation check marks that need to be passed for this one. Did you modify your PID controller to only be a PI controller (look for a drop down box). It can be solved.

Hello I am having the same issue as well, tried rebuilding the model several times but it still returns incorrect on the second( last) validation, when I view the response on the scope and the plot of w on the top right hand corner it shows that my line sits directly on the expected curve.

Did you change the PID controller to a PI controller? Can you include a screenshot of your model?

Hello I am running into the same issue. To say it shortly if I reset task 9 back to what it is supposed to be then I set the constant block to 5 and the PID to just PI with the 0.1 and 15/10 respectively the inertia: w comes up as a straight line at 0. I've checked everything as well as reset many times but still am getting no different result. Thanks for any help.

I had the same issue until I realized my sum block was plus plus instead of plus minus. Hope this helps.

Yeah my sum block is definitely plus minus. I even had simulink reset using the "reset" button and even after chaning to the right values did not change anything.

anyone on this thread, if you are still having issues, can you take a screen shot of what your scope output is? This will show if the model is running as expected. It should look something like this:

John, your issue is that there the connection between the inertia should not also be connected to the rotational reference. This is essentially locking the rotor in place.

Please provide complete diagram. I am facing same issue in 8.1 project-Electronic valve Task 9.

See Joel Van Sickel provided diagram dated 6 April 2021.
On my case, the problem are the connection between the Controlled Voltage Source, the resistor, inductor, Rotational Electromechanical Converter and reference.
Just followed Joel's diagram for it.
it was not working for me then i reconnected all components again and it worked out

Connect "Solver Configuration" block to positive "Controlled Voltage Source" block.

When going through this exercise, I found an issue with the default configuration. This connection here is created when the reset button is pressed. If you delete this connection and follow the steps, you should be able to complete this task.

I am unable to solve the last task even after trying everything mentioned above. This is my circuit.

I have the same issue. The inertia block has this question mark on it. I have no idea what I did wrong. Everything else seems to be right except this part.
