I recently upgraded to Matlab2021a from Matlab2019.
When i installed and activated the software, Simulink is not responding !
When I try to open the backup models, the UI opens without any Blocks in it.
I tried getting direct support from Mathworks team (Assigned to our account) , I have no response yet.
After waiting patiently for help from Mathworks team , I finally uninstalled it , cleaned up the traces of 2021a and re-installed it again.
I am still facing the same issues.
I also tried to upgrade my JAVA engine...
No success from any of the above..
Now seeking support from Mathworks Community !

I have the exact same issue as well. Hope someone can help us out.
*EDIT* 05.07.2021 I tried uninstalling it and re-installing the 2021a Update 3 version and it works without any issues. Remember to delete the entire R2021a folder.

Hi Swapnil,
It appears that you are encountering difficulties when attempting to open Simulink models created in MATLAB R2019 using the newer MATLAB R2021a version.
This issue can be related to antivirus in the system. Reinstalling MATLAB should resolve the issue.
If this done not resolve the issue, try performing a clean reinstallation of MATLAB following the MATLAB Answer below:
If you still experience issues, you can contact MathWorks Support at: http://www.mathworks.com/support/contact_us/
