Imagine a world where you can work and live everywhere where you want, a world where distance just doesn't matter anymore. Well, we can do that with a system that's faster than airplanes, cheaper than a train, and that has absolutely zero emissions.
That's the world we're making into a reality, and it's called the Hyperloop. And how it works is you've got small lightweight vehicles going through a tube with almost no air resistance. That makes it possible to travel almost at the speed of sound, while being cheaper, more efficient, and more convenient than other modes of transportation.
We started this company, and, well, one of the first things we did, we took a step back and made a huge table of all the possible solutions, different ways to float, different ways to get the vacuum, different ways to have an expansion of tubes, and so on. And we just modeled the hell out of it, looking at every possible solution, calculating, and seeing what the best solution was. And this is where MATLAB came in. So pretty quickly we came up with the solution we thought was best.
