Security Considerations for Arduino Simulink Online

Communication between your Arduino® board and Simulink® Online™ occurs over the internet with your MathWorks® account credentials.

Take a note of these security pop-ups and notifications that help you secure your experience while using Simulink Online. Grant permissions and access through your host computer only when you are truly certain.

Click Open MATLAB Connector to permit opening MATLAB Connector.

Permission to connect to MATLAB Connector

Notification for Arduino Simulink Online MATLAB Connector Connection

Click Yes to allow Simulink Online to connect with MATLAB Connector.

If you select Do not ask again, Simulink Online no longer asks for your permission to connect to MATLAB Connector. For more information on how to revoke the permissions from the MATLAB Connector, see MATLAB Connector Preferences and Account Information.

Permission to install third-party software

Notification for Arduino Simulink Online 3P Installation

Click Yes to download and install all the necessary third-party software tools that the support package requires.

Permission to enable Simulink Support Package for Arduino Hardware on your host computer

Notification for Arduino Simulink Online Enabling Support Package

Click Yes to allow Simulink Online to enable Simulink Support Package for Arduino Hardware on your host computer.

Permission to flash your Arduino hardware.

Notification for Arduino Simulink Online to Enable Flash

Click Yes to allow Simulink Online to flash your Arduino hardware.

Permission to access serial port on your host computer

Notification for Arduino Simulink Online Accessing Serial Port

Click Yes to grant permission to your Arduino hardware to access the serial port on your host computer.

Permission to access TCP/IP address and port on your host computer.

Notification for Arduino Simulink Online to Access TCP and Port

Click Yes to allow Simulink Online to access the TCP/IP address and port on your host computer for workflows that require TCP/IP access.
