Display console log messages in a system log object

Syntax

systemlog_out = messages(systemlog_object)

Description

systemlog_out = messages(systemlog_object) displays console log message lines from a SystemLog object. You can set the messageFilter property and severityFilter property of the object to select message lines to display from the log.

Examples

Create and View System Log

The SystemLog object and related functions let you display the console log from a target computer and use filters to search through the log.

Create Target object tg. Create SystemLog object slog that contains the current console log for the target computer.

tg = slrealtime('TargetPC1');
slog = slrealtime.SystemLog(tg);

Display the console log content from slog

Input Arguments

systemlog_object — Object that represents console log content

slrealtime.SystemLog object

Provides access to methods that display and filter console log content from the target computer.

Example: slog

Output Arguments

systemlog_out — Object output by system log related function

slrealtime.SystemLog object

Provides access to filtered output drawn from a SystemLog object by using the messages function or tail function.

Example: slogout
