table sort now requires dialog to select ascending or descending order
Mostrar comentarios más antiguos
As of R2021a, attempting to sort a table by a column now pops up a dialog to specify whether to sort in ascending or descending order.
This is a nuisance, requiring I find the dialog on my busy desktop. Formerly, clicking the sort down arrow sorted in one order or the other, and clicking it again sorted in the reverse order. Simple. Can I get that behavior back? I don't see where to control it.

sort() cannot be applied to table() objects -- it specifically errors out on line 224 of @tabular/tabular.m
Are you talking about GUIDE? Are you talking about App Designer ?

Do you mean in the "Variables" panel, like what you get if you double click the variable in the workspace panel? Can you post a screenshot? Do you just want to sort via code rather than interactively?
data = randi(10, 5, 1);
T = table(data);
T
No down arrow is shown for the column name.
