Hie all, I am always interested in what kind of music that gives you the kick when you're programming.
You can be a little specific, for example:- 1) During debugging; 2) During writing;
etc etc.

Mostly standard classical rock songs. Mostly songs from the 70's (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc.) and 80's (Journey, U2, etc.) - the two best decades for music. Sometimes songs from the 60's (Rolling Stones, Cream, Doors, various hippie/Woodstock songs, etc.). Or the 90's or later -- mostly a collection of one hit wonder bands, in my opinion, with none having a discography consistently good enough for me to follow. Nirvana perhaps being the exception, and I listen to several of their songs. There is actually a fair amount of science/proof behind why music is getting worse : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVME_l4IwII&t=9s
Currently White Stripes "7 Nation Army" is playing on my speakers. And everyday I listen to Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" - the best rock song of all time. (Funny - both of those are played at almost every college football game.)

Interesting stuff you got there, Walter!
For me it is some fast-paced hip hop songs like Eminem's "Lose Yourself" to wake me up when I am drowsy,
Instrumental stuff (I usually extract those stuff from Civilization's soundtrack, a game) when I am forming the outline structure of the program,
And more inclined to rock songs when I am debugging, like Green Day or Yellowcard.
However Lydia's music tend to be all-occasional.

Once you are done debugging, play:
sound(wavread('toilet.wav'))

I don't remember where did I get the file. But it's probably not a MATLAB file. Here is a link. http://www.frogstar.com/content/toiletwav

I generally listen to a lot of indie music. Apart from that I'm too much into Jon Bellion right now. And I also download music from SoundCloud of Illenium and Marshmello.
