How to find asymmetry of the skin lesion image?

Hello! Im doing my project about skin cancer detection.How can I find the asymmetry on the skin lesion image..I hope anyone can help me.Tq

Just within the last week or so, I spent a lot of time on code to do that for some people.

Hi image analyst, from the matlab file you posted, you rotated and calculated the area difference along the x axis. I was just wondering if you could show and explain how to do it along the Y axis too?
