EGM : Elastic graph matching

Hello, I'm searching for the methods of features extraction and during my reaserch I found a method here name is : 'Elastic graph matching' and i want to konw here, I will be thankful if you tellme if you have any idea about this method And thank you soo much for your answer ^_^

@José-Luis well I search for opinion or simplifiction from the readers that's why I ask I have no issues to have articles but some times an opinion can be more usefull and thank you for your answer

That's fair enough, but this is a Matlab forum and I don't see how your question is Matlab specific. You'd be more likely to get an answer in a more relevant forum.

@José-Luis That's right but in my opinion when we search for an idea or an opinion we don't talk about matlab or eclipse or visual studio when we talk about a specific issue in images analysis we can use matlab or any athor tool but we are in the some domain that's why when i asked here i supposed that it can be releated

Can you post your image and tell us what you want to measure - what features - so we can decide (agree with you) that elastic graph matching is the best approach? We're missing the larger picture here (no pun intended). Give us some context. Use the green and brown frame icon to insert your image.
I'm sure MATLAB can most likely do it, but I'm not sure what "it" is. Usually when people ask for image analysis advice, they give us an image.

Thank you Image Analyst for your answer. My objective is to recognize the hand posture, so the first step in my research is to find a method for feature extraction. I found a lot of methods. I tried to implement HOG (as my professor told me) but my implementation didn't have the same results as the function existing in Computer Vision System Toolbox "extractHOGfeatures()". When I'm searching for some simplification, I found Elastic Graph Matching. It was being used in Hand posture recognition, but I'm trying to find in this area something so I decided to learn the principle of Elastic graph matching and find out if this method can be useful for my research. I'm sorry if I talked lot but I'm trying to be clear. For the image this is it:
Thank you so much for your interest and your time.

Yes, that explains it much better. Unfortunately I don't know anything about gesture recognition or elastic graph matching.
You say "It was being used in Hand posture recognition, but I'm trying to find in this area something", as if the paper did not apply to you. But it looks like your application IS ALSO on hand gesture recognition so I don't know why you can't use that same paper since you have the same objective as the paper.
There are a lot (or all) the papers on gesture recognition here: Vision Bib, so maybe you can find an easier method.
