I was part of a team that spent years and millions of dollars attempting to classify brain tumours from images. We had surgeons, neurologists, statisticians, pathologists, people who designed and built MRI devices.
We were not able to find any clinically relevant method of identifying the existence and stage of brain tumours from MRI or CT. The failure rate was just too high to be used.
Perhaps this was because we took the task seriously, not as someone's homework project. We were aiming for clinical deployment, where lives were at stake, so we actually cared about cases that were not obvious.
In order to get anywhere clinically significant, we had to switch to MRS. Which is sort of like using hyperspectral satellite images instead of single-frequency.

Hello Nishad, there are numerous literature (including code) avalible in public domain (Do Google) regardig the topic of Brain Tumor Detection. The segmentation algorithms depends on data images you have. I dont think there is any universal algo, which can be employed in all datasets of MRI images.
Better to go through literature, any try to implememt or modification on code by yourself. During implememtation if you find any difficulty, you are requested to post a specific issue and get the response from members.
Good Luck!
