CRC generation in HDL

I need to calculate CRC for a particular data, I tried using CRC HDL code optimized block which is of 32 bit data and crc-16 polynomial but I need to access that block for 28-bit data including error bit and warning bit with CRC- 6 polynomial , how can i use that CRC HDL code optimized block for my specification.

You can set the CRC polynomial on the block and send in the bits either serially or multiple bits at a time based on your polynomial.
